Safe Route To School Infrastructure Projects

2017 CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS FOR SAFE ROUTE TO SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDS

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Lee MPO are soliciting proposals in Lee County for Safe Route to School (SRTS) funds that will be available to public, private, and charter schools serving Kindergarten through High School. Total funds and the fiscal years for which the funds will be available will be reported at the September MPO Bicycle Pedestrian Coordinating Committee Meeting, and subsequently provided on the MPO website. Eligible projects primarily include pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

Lee MPO sign off is needed for all projects in Lee County. Proposals will be endorsed by the MPO Board after they are reviewed and recommended by MPO advisory committees. Thereafter, MPO staff will sign the completed applications, and transmit them to FDOT to meet the deadline.
