The above photo is of a crashed Mini Cooper that was the result of a young man texting while driving. The family donated the crashed car to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) to serve as an educational tool. With the ongoing partnership between the FHP, Cape Coral Police Department, Lee Health and the Lee MPO the crash vehicle was displayed at several high schools in Lee County. The MPO, with our safety partners, reminds everyone to Arrive Alive and Don’t Text and Drive.
