The Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public hearing on September 20, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., at the Lee County Administration East Building located at 2201 Second Street in Room 118, to consider amending the MPO’s FY 2024/2025 through FY 2028/2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The amendments include adding a Cape Coral round-a-bout study project, add funding and a construction engineering inspection (CEI) phase for the Gunnery Road at Buckingham Road round-a-bout project and add CEI funding for the Fort Myers Beach Times Square project. An additional public hearing agenda item will include an amendment to the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), the MPO’s budget, to add additional transit planning funds due to an increase in federal grant formula funding. Written comments received by the end of the business day on Thursday, September 19, 2024 will be presented to the MPO Board members on September 20, 2024 where formal approval will be decided. Public comments may also be made at the MPO Board meeting on September 20, 2024 at 9:00a.m. at the Lee County Administration East Facility, 2201 Second Street, Room 118, Fort Myers, Florida.
