The Traffic Management and Operations Committee (TMOC) explores engineering solutions besides road construction that will help move traffic more efficiently. It considers proposed projects for traffic signals, roundabouts, and intersection improvements and makes recommendations to the MPO board for its transportation plan and FDOT’s five year work program. TMOC meetings shall be held bi-monthly on the second Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., or as necessary, to accomplish the tasks assigned to the TMOC by these bylaws, the Unified Planning Work Program, and the Public Involvement Plan. The TMOC meetings are generally held at Collaboratory, 2031 Jackson Street, Fort Myers, FL. Public comments received by 5:00 p.m. of the business day prior to the meeting will be presented to the committee at the meeting. Public comments may also be made in-person at the meeting on the meeting day.
