The MPO’s consultant for the Safe Streets for All Safety (SS4A) Action Plan, Stantec, provided presentations at several MPO meetings in May on the SS4A Action Plan that has been under development for the past year. On May 16, the MPO Board approved the plan. The safety action plan includes information on the crash safety analysis, public and stakeholder involvement activities, proposed safety countermeasure projects and programs and potential funding opportunities. The action plan has been developed consistent with the federal requirements to receive Safe Streets for All implementation funding in the future. The plan also includes proposed projects on the High Injury Network submitted by the local jurisdictions as the application for federal implementation funding will need to come from the local maintaining agencies.
